well what i was thinking was that ive got tons of dreamcast roms but half the roms arent in the database and all the roms have got weird info at the end of it and to sort it all out manually would take me years so didnt know if dons would be any use to me

My xml of dc roms is only 347 which isnt much and wanted a db with more roms so i can add more games, but im a bit out of my depth now with that side of things.

You can use Don's Rename Roms to rename your DC roms to match the database. The databases only contain one version of a game and only those playable without knowing a language other than English. So you probably do have more games than the amount in the database but most of those are probably duplicates from different regions and/or games that are unplayable without knowing Japanese or another language.

The DC database is currently being worked on to add playable JP titles and some other games.

right so im best off just waiting for now then really..

whats the situation with psp roms as i cant find any that fit the db ?

Not really, because you're still going to have to rename them to match anyway. If you rename them to match the current DC database that's less you'll have to rename later and you can play them while the new one is being worked on.

Thats a good idea, so let me get this correct,  Tur matcher = matches roms to DB   and Fat matcher = matches roms to wheels ?  So when ive got a load of roms with all kinds of stull in brackets that dont match the Db then i use Tur matcher ?   and is there another emu that will run saturn apart from SSF ?

All of the renaming apps do the same thing. They all match whatever files (roms, wheels, video, etc) to the database and rename them, it doesn't matter which you use. You tell them the xml you want to match against, point to the rom/wheel/video folder, they match and rename them.

Yabuse is another Saturn emulator but SSF has the best compatibility.

right ok thankyou for that info on the 1st question and yep ssf is the best but i cant open the config file on ssf and ive tried a few, so ive got saturn set up and ready to fly but if i  try and load game i get i need to enable virtual drive,  But i cant lol

Hello guys, Erm... I've got a rather large problem or problems, 1st Austin isnt doing any more video tutorials on consoles and he's not providing the required media that i need for the Sega CD, Ive got Emumovies but everything is default and its not given me any carts or art and i cant find anything here, and also I'm not sure which emulator to use for that, Also Ive downloaded the yabause emulator to use for the saturn as the SSF isnt working. How easy is it to install the Commodore Amiga CD32 ? Also Ive got the PSP installed but how do i add the games ? some are iso's and some are bin and cue so i cant get that working too :(

Focus on one system at a time. Get it working outside HS/RL first then read the module notes in RLUI for that emulator and that will tell you specific options and steps that are needed. Once you get that system working move on to another.

- I'm not really sure what you're asking about the art but check HyperSync and the download sections here and at EM for any art. If you can't find it, there may not be any.

- Retroarch and Fusion are probably the 2 most popular emus for Sega CD. After you add a system you can look at the Default Emulators list in RLUI to see emus for that system.

- If you have WinUAE installed already you should just have to create a hosts file and a few other things. Check the module notes.

- I'm not sure what you mean about adding psp games. Most games should be iso files but as long as the emulator supports the file type you have that's all that matters.

Thanks Agent I'm on to it now bud, :) I'll just do one thing at a time and then hopefully the others will sort too.
