HyperSpin Can't Find Emulators

Apologies for what is no doubt a noob question...

I am trying to install Hyperspin and RocketLauncher following the video tutorial on the tutorials page. Having set the paths to the emulator (Sega Model 2) to d:/HyperSpin/Emulators/Sega Model 2/, when I try to launch a game I get the attached error.

Any ideas?

This isn't a database problem. RocketLauncher can't find the emulator program. Set the path to the emulator in the RLUI emulators tab.

Well at least the first error message was emulator related.

The second one is because HS isn't set as the default and active front end in RLUI.

Installed DirectX, next error, the emulator won't run. Any suggestions? This is getting incredibly frustrating...

Concentrate in getting the emulator working outside of HS and RL first.

Hi guys,

So I did a complete re-install. The stand alone emulator now works again. And RocketLauncher starts the emulator.

I am now getting this error, after the emulator and game runs for a minute or so.

Thoughts?

2 questions:

- Is your RL install fully up to date?

- Are you using the right version of the emulator?  You need to use the version shown in the module - this is the usual cause of this error, once the emulator works outside of RL

Thanks mate, your second one was the problem. I didn't realise there was multiple versions of the Model 2 emulator. This is working now, although I still have some questions that I'll start new posts for.

Thanks again!
