The HyperSpin 2 beta is here!

We’re starting the first public testing phase with Platinum Members to keep the scope manageable while we test the current feature set and begin to add more. In the future, we’ll provide a version for basic members as well.  On behalf of the entire HyperSpin team, we look forward to another exciting adventure with our community.

Hi all.

Just wanted to introduce myself. I'll be frequenting these forums more and more as I progress with my latest project.

I'm building a machine based on the Weecade design albeit tweaked to my own prefs.

I have all the materials, buttons, joysticks, plexiglass, MDF, paint and I'm currently at the painting stage of my panels before cab assembly later in the week.

So far it's going well and whilst I'm waiting for each coat to dry I'm setting up my Hyperspin system.

I've acquired a 20" HP 2065 monitor and a Core 2 Quad with a GT 710 graphics card since the onboard GMA on the Core 2 wasn't cutting it with Retroarch. The modest boost in performance also allowed me to apply some CRT shaders with little penalty.

I've gotten to grips with Hyperspin and some of its intricacies although I felt like giving up several times in the first few hours ;) I'm now flying with it, editing the XML data, suing Don's tools, downloading snaps and logos from emu movies etc.

I plan to show off my machine when it's complete. My aim is end of September but with the progress I've been making I think it will be much sooner. (I hope).

This is a lifelong dream for me (to own my own cab) and I'm pleased that I'm finally in a position to make it a reality and so far I have no regrets about choosing to use Hyperspin as my frontend.

:welcome:

I recently subscribed to Ryan Bates on YT who builds mini bar tops or porta pi's. These seen perfect for me as I don't have much room.

I look forward to seeing your Weecade.
