abodetti Posted August 15, 2016 Posted August 15, 2016 Hi All, Everything was running perfectly with Hyperspin 1.4 but after the Windows 10 Anniversary Update, it seems as through HyperSpin doesn't want to recognize my wireless Xbox 360 controllers. I have it set up directly through HyperHQ without using xpadder or any other script. Controllers work perfectly in each emulator, just not in Hyperspin itself to move the wheel, select a game, etc... The log says "error initializing joysticks". Anyone else having this issue? Is there a way to use the controllers with xpadder ONLY in HyperSpin? I would not want xpadder running when emulators/games are loaded. Any help is appreciated!
gigapig Posted August 15, 2016 Posted August 15, 2016 I'll check this as well later. Is there a new driver? I suppose if there was it should have installed with the update.
abodetti Posted August 15, 2016 Author Posted August 15, 2016 Am I the only one with this issue? I've seen a few other Xbox controller posts, so I'm assuming not. Thank you!

Are you wired or wireless? If wireless, check to make sure the adapter is being picked up. Also, remove it and try in a different USB port - and re-pair the controller. Check in device manager / control panel gamepad settings to make sure that the pad is actually working in Windows first.
Guest Posted August 15, 2016 Posted August 15, 2016 An extra point - joystick support in HyperSpin sucks. You'd be better off using JoyToKey - and yes, you can have that without doing that in an emulator.
abodetti Posted August 15, 2016 Author Posted August 15, 2016 Thank you. Controllers are working fine with everything other than Hyperspin. They look find in device manager as well. Very strange. How could i use Joy 2 Key for Hyperspin only and not emulators/games? Might be the easiest way at this point. Thank you!

You could also try remapping the controls in HyperHQ - it's possible the JoyID has just changed.

This setup worked fine for 10 months. I downloaded the HyperSpin Startup Script.exe and configured the ini to point to hyperspin... no dice. I want to get a good step by step (I set this whole thing up myself, but I'm nowhere as good as you guys with this stuff) on how to install joy2key to sun ONLY when hyperspin is running... then when rocketlauncher runs the emulators, just to leave all the settings as is. You state above this is possible... how? Running HyperSpin 1.4.0 on Windows 10.
