Is there a way to disable the random sounds that play during menu selections

Like the topic says is there a simple way to disable the random sounds that play when your going through your games?

Currently they play over the game video and when you scroll quickly you get sensory overload.

It is nice through when the sounds are from that system. "Welcome to the adventure" doesnt fit with every system. What game is that from any way?

But the sounds do get very old and drive you nuts after a while.

 

I turned mine off long ago.

You know I've been sing Hyperspin for years now and its always drove me crazy ... and since it's not in the Main Settings->Sound tab I just assumed it didn't exist.
