MAME only loads one ROM

Hey guys,

 

So I am usinig MAME .139 (because I have roms for that version) and all is well when just launching from the mame.exe. When I use HyperSpin however, I see all my roms and can play any one of them fine so I know my path's are set correctly. The issue is when I escape out of that game and go to load another one or even the same one it does nothing, it acts as almost there is no path for the mame.exe. Like I said it will work for any rom but will only launch once, have to quit out completely of hyperspin and re-open to play again.

 

Any help is appreciated.

So I found out it's an issue with HyperLaunch process not closing after backing out of a game. It stays in my process list and thus won't launch another rom. I found an older thread on here ( http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/topic/10128-hyperspin-not-launching-mame/#entry158772 ) but this fix isn't working for me.

 

Anyone have any ideas how I can get that process to quit?

Update to RocketLauncher from HyperLaunch and get on the latest MAME.

It's really tricky for mist of us to help with Hyperlaunch because we don't use it anymore and can't refer back to it.

All I can think of is setting up the exit emulator keys in Hyperlaunch HQ if you have that.

So I found a way around this. I installed a free program called AutoHotKey, I used the escape key on my keyboard to run a batch file on my computer.

 

Basically here is the autohotkey script:

 

Esc::Run C:\Documents and Settings\name\Desktop\hyp.bat

 

The hyp.bat script looks like this:

 

Taskkill /IM HyperLaunch.exe /f

I use escape because I am using a keyboard to test roms for the time being
