ryanjg11
I've settled on Sony DualShock 4 controllers (using the DS4Windows utility) to serve as my "universal controller." So far it's been a good choice; the DS4 controller has a lot of buttons, and they seem to automatically map well with Retroarch's Retropad. Just about every console system works just fine, with minimal mapping adjustments. I'd like to maybe add MAME games to the system, though in looking at the MAME controllers, it seems they have six primary buttons and a lot of ancillary buttons. I'm not sure if this would map well to the DS4, even with all of its buttons. Has anyone had good experience playing MAME games with a controller like the DS4? Is it worth trying to pursue? Thanks. Spawk
Absolutely! I use a 360 controller here. Other than fighting games, most only use 2-4 buttons. It won't do anything for trackball or lightgun games but no gamepad will. Sent from my B3-A20 using Tapatalk
