AuronBlade Posted September 19, 2016 Posted September 19, 2016 Hi! I would like the video "no video" is not shown in my MAME theme. However, I want this video shown in the others themes. Where's the code for that? please!
rastan Posted September 19, 2016 Posted September 19, 2016 as far as I know it's not possible.. but someone made a really cool no video that has the color bars that you would see on video monitors at tv stations.. it's really cool and the color bars really fit well with the system themes.. it doesn't look out of place or weird like the static no video. I'm thinking if there wasn't a mame system theme perhaps no videos would show but I don't think that's what you want... but as far as I know the no video is universal for all systems.. you can't turn it off for specific systems or even change it to something else like a default NES or MAME or whatever else.
kylecp1979 Posted September 20, 2016 Posted September 20, 2016 I renamed my no video file to _no video so now when there is no video for a game it shows nothing. Just what I prefer

Oh, ok thanks a lot, I made a theme for MAME, but I have a limited capability in my disc. So that I only want to show the videos of "My favourites". I want the snapshot image be shown in the same place for the other games instead the "No Video". Mmm, Is it possible to assign a PNG image with alpha instead a video? if, yes, that will be the solution!
kylecp1979 Posted September 20, 2016 Posted September 20, 2016 You can use a screen shot or image as your video too just add it to your video folder or your frontend video folder and rename it to the rom name or no video in the frontend folder if you want something as default for everything
