patm95 Posted September 21, 2016 Posted September 21, 2016 Hi all. I am setting up Hyperspin for the 2nd time on a new PC. It's been over 5 years since last time so I have forgotten a lot and a lot has changed since then. I am now trying to use Rocketlauncher. I can not get Hyperspin to launch a game though. It tests fine in Rocketlauncher. However I have 2 systems setup in Hyperspin and neither one is working. You select a game and press enter and nothing happens. I'm guessing I am missing something simple? Hyperlauncher is selected in HyperHQ. I am under the impression we no longer muse HyperHQ for much when we are using Rocketlauncher? Thank You.
JoyStickKilla Posted September 21, 2016 Posted September 21, 2016 Did you set the path to rocketlauncher in the settings.ini file?

patm95 Posted September 22, 2016 Author Posted September 22, 2016 This is an observation that I just had and I am not sure if it means anything. I can launch a game directly from Rocketlauncher by clicking the .exe file. If I click on the Hyperlaunch.exe file on Hyperspin, it will launch RocketLauncher, but none of the games will launch that way. That make any sense?
patm95 Posted September 22, 2016 Author Posted September 22, 2016 Ok. That is the video I used originally. I think I figured out what was wrong. I had RocketLauncher configured to run as administrator. I unchecked that box and now it runs fine.

Run as admin should never be needed for HS/RL stuff - as everything in the launch chain has to be run as admin or you will get the exact problem you've experienced.
