drphilgood Posted September 25, 2016 Share Posted September 25, 2016 Hey everyone I am in the process of setting up my PS2 wheel. I have PCSX2.0 1.4.0 which runs fine stand alone. I noticed that when launching the games through RL or HS the emulator takes several mins to load the game. Approx 3-5 mins. Once it finally loads the game the controller pad doesn't work neither. If i open the emulator stand alone everything runs fine including the boot time and the controller. Anybody with suggestions? Thanks Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

drphilgood Posted September 25, 2016 Author Share Posted September 25, 2016 Thanks. I realized after looking at the log it was extracting the .7z version of the game. I have the .ISO in the same directory but I guess it was defaulting to the .7z file. Is it recommended to leave the .7z archives and just temp the files every time or should i use .gz format? badboo Posted September 28, 2016 Share Posted September 28, 2016 On the long run, you end up needing more space. I prefer leaving the roms on .7z. This happened to me and now my 5tb HDD is full. If I didn't have the majority of the PS2 collection on .7z, I would have had to get another hdd by this time. The 7z made a big difference.
