So I am not very computer savvy however I have set a goal to make a Hyperspin cabinet.

I want to be able to run up to N64 unless I would have to buy a new computer, then I would want to run up to GameCube.

So my current laptop computer is listed below, will this work with Hyperspin and emulators up to N64? Is there anything I could do to make it better?

Intel® Core2 Duo CPU T7250 @ 2.00GHz

RAM: 3.00GB

64 bit Operating System

Running Windows 7

If I would need to buy a new computer what would you suggest?

Thanks for the Help.

I had n64, Saturn and PSX running perfectly on a 2.33Ghz core2duo and a new $35 NVIDIA card. I've since upgraded to a i7 2600 and a new $110 NVIDIA and it runs GameCube perfectly. I want to run PS2 and PSP but can't find the games (GC games were really hard to track down).

There is no way that system would run gamecube perfectly. It may run a large part of the gamecube library well on am old emulator, but those specs don't meet dolphin 5's recommended minimum specs. Not to mention that there are gamecube games that won't run full speed on my i7-4790k with a gtx-1070.

So I wouldn't say it runs perfectly.

Also if you are looking for games, there is a certain emu paradise out there that has very nice gc, psp, and ps2 collections available.

You really need to go to the websites for the emulators you plan to run and check the minimum requirements as well as the preferred specs for those emulators. Just because a system can run a emulator doesn't mean anything if the games aren't playable unless the attitude is like "MAME" being able to play the games is a nice side effect lol.

N64 you should be good... GameCube i doubt it as I've seen problems with game cube on my i3... until I tweaked the emulator (frame skip + speed up hacks)
