  1. Ugh. Mistakes are being made. Regret will follow.
  2. Yeah, same for me except that I noticed that the yes/no buttons work right away but direction buttons take about ten seconds. He responded to me earlier in this thread I believe. I think the delay was added to prevent an error that was occurring when skipping or not using the intro video.

  4. Maybe this comes as no surprise but it certainly did to me. A PS3 controller over bluetooth can work with your startup script. A few weeks ago, I wiped out my failed motionjoy driver install and attempted to install the Scarlet Crush driver. It masquerades the dualshock as an xbox360 controller. It didn't appear to work, and time ran out, so I gave up. Then a few days ago, I had forgotten my xbox controller and receiver at a friend's house. I tried the PS3 controller and bam! It worked!! Brilliant!
  5. I'm using the default intro video. Should I delete all my media and resync them? I'm in the habit of always starting up my controller before launching HyperSpin (or HyperLaunch HQ) because it wont recognize the controller if I turn it on after they're already running.
  6. I got a question, and this is something that has spanned several versions. When I start up HyperSpin, the start and exit buttons work right away, but it takes about 15 seconds or more before I can rotate the wheel up or down. What's up with that? lol
  7. Wait, so the back button is favorites and the guide button isn't used? Yeah, I guess I can see that now that I look closer. I swear I tried the back button before and it just spun the wheel. I'll give it a try tonight. Oh der, didn't think about it. HyperSpin starts first. Thanks ghutch, this greatly enhances the experience. More than one would think. Customizable buttons will be awesome, though I wonder if I should just get used to your buttons. **tried the back button and it works! I've got quests going on Dragon Quest 3, FF5, Y's3, and I'm thinking about starting EarthBound and Fire Emblem.
  8. I searched the thread but didn't find exactly what I was looking for. I can't get the favorites button to work with my xbox360 control. I deleted the .exe's that caused the battery level to come up every time I hit the guide button, but still HyperSpin doesn't react to it. What do I need to do or check? Also, would it be possible for the startup script to check if there is already an instance running, or if there's already an instance of HyperSpin running before it launches? I sometimes have this problem and have to ctrl alt del and manually shut them down before I can start HyperSpin again.
  9. Spin again preferred to auto select.
  10. Agreed. I tried all the PSX emulators on the list and Mednafen is the way to go. The author is actively focused on PSX development which is promising. I'd recommend RetroArch for SNES (BSnes Balanced core), Genesis (Gens Plus core), and most Nintendo 64 games (Mupen64plus core). N64 is a special case because you need several emulators and a collection of plugins to get all the games running. 1964Ultrafast, Project64 1.6, Project64 2.1.0.1, Mupen64Plus. Apparently there's some controversy surrounding RetroArch but I haven't witnessed it personally and my main concern is what works best. Many emulator authors are drama queens so I stay out of it and just play the games. Between Mess, Mednafen, and RetroArch you can run quite a few consoles. Someone new to HyperSpin should start with the multi emulators and work their way down, replacing some systems with LLE emulators for higher accuracy and compatibility.
  11. Can you make it close any instances of HyperSpin already running? Kinda surprised HyperSpin doesn't already do this. Every now and then, HyperSpin doesn't close down properly (usually when I'm trying to set up a new system or change something). Then you try to start it and nothing happens. Would be a user friendly feature in case someone else besides me is playing.
