shadofal
Hi All, I've been using HS for a few years. Just recently upgraded to RL and HS 1.4, and added a PSP and PS2 wheel along with updating the rom sets and art/themes. Upgrading was pretty painless and most importantly, I'm happy to be finally rid of xpadder! The problem I'm currently running into is a few PSP games are not showing up on the game wheel in HS. Most show up just fine. I'm still using HyperHQ, but only for the "roms only" filter and themes. If I turn off the "roms only" filter, the missing games will show on the wheel, with artwork/themes/wheel art, and will launch from Hyperspin without an issue. For example, Half-Minute Hero launches fine from PPSSPP. It launches fine from RLUI. I have confirmed the rom name matches the XML, carefully making sure to check letter case, spacing, etc. When I have "roms only" checked in HyperHQ, the rom won't show on the PSP HS wheel. when I uncheck the filter, it'll show up, and I can launch the game from HS. I've checked the game name in the XML vs rom multiple times over mulitple days, and copy/pasted between them to make sure it's the same, but that doesn't seem to make a difference. File extensions are all the same between roms. One thing I noticed is all of the games which are not showing up in the wheel had "read only" checked in the file properties, while the rest which properly display do not. I turned off the "read only" setting, and then compared the file properties including access rights between the non-working rom and a known working rom (the rest of the settings were the same), but it still didn't make a difference. I understand I can create a custom XML game set to avoid using the filter, but the filter seems more convenient as I add/remove games from my library. Anyone have an additional sugestions I might try to get the rom filter setting to work? Or should I just grab Don's tool and make a custom XML? Thanks in advance! THK
Not really a clue (as I haven't installed HS in a looooong time), but have you checked the RocketLauncher forum and their tutorials? RL is pretty powerful and you can adjust emu/system settings etc per game and add remove games form your list as far as I can recall. Also RL and HyperHQ don't really cover the same stuff ans RL is much more in depth. So have a look there is what I suggest
JoyStickKilla
Proper capitalization in both name and extension?
THK
Proper capitalization in both name and extension? True, but then I'd expect gaps in the wheel or the wheel bugging out, or have I been out the game too long?
THK
Ah yes, of course, though I thought capitalization on the extensions it would list it, but cause the problems I mentioned above, at least it used to..... a couple of years ago
shadofal
Guys, you nailed it! I was familiar with, and focusing on, the capitalization of the letters in file names, but overlooked that the file extension is ALSO case-sensitive. some of the roms in my set have a .ISO extension in all capital letters, which i did not see. I added .ISO as another extension in the HyperHQ PSP wheel, and hyperspin found the missing roms. You guys rock, thanks for the support! Glad to feel welcome and at home in such an awesome community. Long live Hyperspin!

shadofal
I must have configured windows to hide file extensions because they don't show up in the file names, which is why I didn't notice them.... tricky little buggers! Thanks again!

Thanks again! I switch it on & off depending on my need. Can be both very useful or a pain depending on what ur doing, just like show hidden files etc.
