SpykSaturn Posted October 31, 2016 Posted October 31, 2016 Having quite a few problems after moving hyperspin and rocket launcher over to my new solid state drives and I haven't been able to figure some of them out. First one that has been plaguing me is getting the two to communicate properly. So I am launching games in hyperspin no problem. They are working through the emulators and doing just fine there. My problem right now is I can't get the fades or bezels to work in hyperspin. They are showing up and looking great in RL but hyperspin is just not having it. I double checked my path to hyperspin in RL and even double checked it in multiple locations. I even double backed over Austins tutorials because they got it working before I transferred over. Still nothing. I'm at a loss here and ready to pull out my hair. Any ideas?
gigapig Posted October 31, 2016 Posted October 31, 2016 Not sure I understand fully. If the bezels and fade work when you launch a game then all is well. Bezels and fade are a Rocket launcher feature and nothing to do with Hyperopia so you won't see them in Hyperspin only after you click to launch the game. Make sure the bezel and fade media is in the correct rocketlauncher folders.
SpykSaturn Posted October 31, 2016 Author Posted October 31, 2016 Well when I launch the game on rocket launcher to test it it works fine but when I launch the game from the hyperspin wheel I get no bezzels or fades.
SpykSaturn Posted October 31, 2016 Author Posted October 31, 2016 This is with any game and not just specific to one. It is very strange. I wonder if there is something on the hyperspin side that got messed up with the transfer. I thought I had everything redirected right. But launching from rocket launcher and clicking the red rocket from the games menu I get my bezels and fades, launching from hyperspin by picking the game on the wheel and I ge neither.
gigapig Posted October 31, 2016 Posted October 31, 2016 I would imagine that Hyperspin is not using rocket launcher to start your games. Where is the path to Hyperlaunch pointing? Or is the execution set to Normal instead of Hyperlaunch? Post your Hyperspin log if unsure.
SpykSaturn Posted October 31, 2016 Author Posted October 31, 2016 Ah ha! I think your right. That might have been a step I missed and I'm pretty sure Austin did go over that in his video and stupid me skimmed through instead of start to finish. Still new. Sorry guys thanks for the help I'll let you know
SpykSaturn Posted November 1, 2016 Author Posted November 1, 2016 That was it! We got it fixed! You guys are amazing!!!!! Agent 47 hit it right on the head. It just jogged my memory of making sure I had the path right in the script. Now I got one more issue to figure out and that's why I have to reset xpadder in hyperspin every time I use it. Works the first time and maybe the second but eventually it just stops working. Just on the hyperspin screen when choosing games.
