Retroarch

Hey Guys,

 

Following video tutorials on you tube and I have so far manage to get nearly 29 wheels working and playing, Although I am doing this on my laptop with an attached External hard drive so I can then connect to my arcade machine in the future.. I have managed as I said to get the 29 wheels playing and loading with bezels and video snaps.. But I have not set up controllers for the emulators yet.

Windows 10 Home edition is my Cpu.

My question is I am loading a game through retro arch and when I press F1 nothing happens its like the screen loading symbol appears and the screen is locked (I cant access retro arch to change configs or video settings )

 

any idea on another key that will get me inside the retro arch main emulator to change settings

Tab? You can define a specific key in settings tab - input - input hotkeys binds.

I know in mame I can hit the Tab key and it brings up settings in game ,

 

But in retroarch if I try and press F1 it just pauses the screen and nothing happens....

 

I will try Tab now.

I'm not at my PC right now, but open up retroarch outside of hyperspin and check in the settings for hotkey options, I believe one of them is to set up a key to bring up the menu ingame

I just found out about this, The F1 button is my function key on laptop so while I am in game if I press F1 it tries to load up a web page to help with any issues and this was the cause.. I just had to rename a function key to something then F1 ..
