Newbie Question: Can't launch game from HS

Good morning,

This is my first cabinet, and I'm still setting up the system: A Win10PC with mouse/keyboard (no arcade controls hooked up at this stage).

I'm running Hyperspin 1.4, Rocketlauncher, MAME 179 with matching split ROM set. 

I followed Avar's video setup guide and doubled checked each step for setting up MAME with HS/RL.

The first problem: after completing setup, I can launch games from RL (using the little rocket icon). When I  go into the same ROM in HS, and click Enter (=start), nothing happens. I can't launch any MAME ROMs from HS, even though they work normally in MAME (directly) and can be launched with RocketLauncher. My settings files look like they do in Avar's video tutorial.

I tried looking into the Support forums, but couldn't find a basic step-by-step debug guide. It seems to be something fairly basic, but I don't have any experience to judge what it might be.

There is a log.txt in your Hyperspin folder, can you post that to see what is missing?

If nothing happens it probably means you don't have HS properly configured to use RL. Double check to make sure that the "Hyperlaunch_Path" in the HyperSpin/Settings/Settings.ini is pointing to your RocketLauncher.exe without any typos.

Turns out both of these comments were just what I needed. I found the settings.ini was pointing to the old Hyperlauncher folder, instead of the new Rocketlauncher one. Fixed that. Then found that RocketlauncherUI wasn't correctly configured for MAME (in the Emulators tab) based on the errors I saw in the RL log file. Thank you both for the tip.
