martijnsx
Hi, I have a stability issue with hyperspin with selecting games. I have had this issue a very long time with different versions. When i select a game and a fraction later (almost directly) i use the joystick (move it around, up/left/right/down) the game loads and sometimes the wheel (sound) is still active. It looks like that from the moment a game is selected until the game is actually starting there is a small timeframe that hyperspin reacts to key presses and can get confused. Can someone replicate this issue? Does someone know how to fix this? I am on the latest hyperspin and rocketlauncher from 23 november 2016. I do not use any bells and wistles like fade and bezels etc. Thanks. Best regards.
Yeuxkes
How do you control Hyperspin? Do you use any mapping software like JoytoKey or Xpadder? What are the settings in your HyperHQ for the controls? Because to me this would probably be caused by using the joystick controls from HyperHQ. It"s a little bit buggy to say the least. Have a look at this post, it might solve your issues: http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/forums/topic/29306-regarding-controller-applications/#comment-262459
martijnsx
I think i do use hyperHQ. I only set the keys there. Probably that is the issue. I will take a look tomorrow! Thanks!
martijnsx
Seems like xpadder and joytokey are programs in which you can map gamepad controls to keyboard keys. I use an Ipac to convert the pushes of buttons and movement of the joystick to keyboard keys. Do i still need xpadder or joytokey? And i disable all controlls in HyperHQ? Now all emulators work fine (keys mapped). Do i have to map every emulator again? Or can i only map the control of the hyperspin frontend? Best regards. martijnsx
Well i am a bit lost. What do i do exactly in HyperHQ and what do i do exactly in RocketlauncherUI (keymapper tab). Do i have to remove all the keys in the Keyboard TAB under Controls section of HyperHQ? There is no button DISABLE like in the joystick TAB. In RocketLauncherUI in the keymapper tab you can add a profile and then you can add new keymaps but i do not want to map one key to the other. Yeuxkes
Sorry to have pointed you in the wrong direction, I assumed you used a joystick/gamepad. I'm not familiar with the Ipac controller. So you can forget about the stuff in the link I posted. You wouldn't want to remap any keys since from what I understand you have those correctly configured already, so no need to mess about in RocketLauncher. If you have joypad, spinner or trackball enabled in HyperHQ you want to disable those. They tend to be a bit buggy from time to time. You could try and enable the keyboard delay in HyperHQ under the keyboard controls. Hopefully someone with more experience than myself can assist you in resolving this issue for you if the keyboard delay option doesn't solve your problem.
