The controller can skip the intro but can not navigate the menus, any ideas ?

You'd have to be more specific than that. What system are you playing, which emulator are you using? Do you use the old Hyperlaunch or Rocketlauncher, do you have any keymappers or xpadder/joytokey setup?

Im running windows 10 , the controller works fine within the emulator but not on the hyperspin menu. I am using the new rocket launcher.

 

I followed the below instructions to get  setup, but the controler can only skip the intro, I can not select a system.

I do not have anything installed to alter keys, I heard 1.4 could do this natively, if can't resolve may have to install xpadder. Would like help on this have spent a few days googling but with no luck.

I'm using a batch file that launches before Hyperspin which launches a joytokey profile to control Hyperspin.  The default joypad controls in HyperHQ are wonky to say the least and should be avoided imo.

You can do the same with Xpadder but I prefer Joytokey. I also have the same profile setup in Rocketlauncher to control Hyperspin but I need to load it through a batch file first since Rocketlauncher doesn't do anything before you actually launch a game.

does 1.4 still not work with controlers then ? I thought that was fixed ?

I haven't really tested it to be honest and I got it working prior to 1.4 using JoytoKey so I don't see the need to change a working setup. You can try and set it up through HyperHQ but what I remember from prior versions is that the wheel just start to roll uncontrollably on occasions.

I thought it was fixed, guess not as ive configured within hyperhq. I can skip the intro but nothing else, which is weird as it picks up the pad and recognises my keys when setting it up.
