Favorites not saving

I recently bought an arcade machine that uses hyperspin.  Issue: I add a game to my favorites wheel, then I "view favorites" and the game I added isn't there.  Can someone help?  I'd love to be able save games to the favorites wheel!

Note:  I am able to delete games from the favorites wheel, just not add them.

Sounds to me like your favorites file might be set to read-only. That's the first thing to check when any settings don't seem to be saving when they should.

EDIT: Except that you shouldn't be able to delete them either... hmmm... How are you trying to add them? Just by using the built in "add to favorites" option

I am adding them by using the built in "add to favorites" (I don't know any other way).  I found a notepad favorites file for MAME, and it wasn't read only.  I did change the wheel to multi mode, and I found out that I can save favorites for N64, SEGA, etc. on other emulators.  Just not MAME apparently.

It looks like the favorites will save on the "all games" wheel, but won't save from any of the "genre" wheels.  Anyone have an idea of how to fix this?
