ChiefZigZag
I have been attempting to wrap my head around the fact that Hyperspin and Retroarch have two separate retroarch.cfg files.. I did find a video online on how to make them use a single config file.. it seems to partly work... such as specifying directory paths. I am attempting to configure advanced settings within Retroarch such as applying filters, enabling vulkan instead of opengl, enable fps overlay... and I am having a very difficult time keeping the settings persistent between hyperspin/retroarch on my Nvidia Shield. Can anyone shed some light on how to persistently make Retroarch and Hyperspin use the same configuration files? is it even possible?
thatman84
I maybe able to shed some light here i don't know of any videos/guides that make them use the same retroarch.cfg both programs will always use seperate base cfg files. So any settings you change have to be changed in both... if you have both Hyperspin RA and Native RA pointed at the same config directory then all of your overrides will be loaded by both. so really you want to change your base settings minimally at 1st run. Then as you load up a core change your settings and "save core override" if you come across settings that don't save as a override (like hotkeys for example) you will need to manually add the required text to your override file. inspect your retroarch.cfg to find the correct entry then copy the line over to your override cfg file. hope that helps
