bobsn193
Hi there. New to Hyperspin. I have gone through the videos and set up Hyperspin, Rocket Launcher, and my first emulator Nestopia for NES. When I run the rom through Nestopia only, the gameplay appears to work fine and the sound works fine. Now when I open up Hyperspin. The intro and videos have sound on them. However, when I open up the game through Hyperspin, the gameplay works, but there is no sound. in fact, the sound on my entire system stops. I have checked the sound mixer, and that doesn't appear to be the problem. Anyone else experience this? Any solutions? Should I just try a different emulator? Thanks all! Metalzoic
How does it work when you run it through RocketLauncher? Do you have mute system on fade turned on for Nestopia in RL? If so does turning it off fix it?
bobsn193
Thanks Mealzoic for replying. I started a new thread (forgot about this one). I simply fixed this problem by switching to Retroarch. Now this new issue I have is with MAME But I hope this clarifies and you could share some light on this. So simply put...., when I run a rom through "MAME" emulator, the sound works.....When I launch a mame rom through Rocket Launcher, the sound works. But if I start from Hyperspin, and I select a game "rom", the game is launched with no sound. Not only that, I have no sound at all on my computer until I close both MAME and Hyperspin. I can't even run a video on youtube at all until i close hyperspin. This has nothing to do with the sound mixer as nothing shows as muted when i open it while running hyperspin and mame. And has nothing to do with muted faders (since it seems to work fine when launched from rocketlauncher). Note: I had the same issue when running the Nestopia emulator for NES. But once I switched to Retroarch, the problem just went away. Any idea what could be the problem here? Thanks!
