The HyperSpin 2 early access beta is here!

We’re starting the first public testing phase with Platinum Members to keep the scope manageable while we test the current feature set and begin to add more. In the future, we’ll provide a version for basic members as well.  On behalf of the entire HyperSpin team, we look forward to another exciting adventure with our community.

So I'm about to start building an actual cab in a month or so and I'm wanting to get my harddrive and hyperspin all set up beforehand. So I've downloaded hyperspin, rocketlauncher, got a preminum account here and at emumovies and am trying to get everything all pimped out. I'm trying to do one system at a time and getting it fully configured then move onto the next one. So right now I'm working on NES and I've run into a few issues that I can't seem to find solutions to or fix through the settings myself.

The first one came when I was using hypersync with hyperspin and emumovies linked together and downloading the preview movies for NES..almost half the movies only show video and no audio but if I manually launch the file they all have audio with themselves. So I went to the emumovies ftp and downloaded them all manually there and have been replacing them one by one to the ones that aren't playing audio and now they're playing audio. Is this normal that audio won't play in hyperlaunch on some preview videos despite being able to hear the audio when launching manually.

Secondly when I slowly cycle through the games, each time I get a weird hyperspin splash screen clipping through the background ingame and weird splash sound affects and I don't know what's causing them and am looking to disable it. Here are some examples. I don't really know how to describe the sounds I'm hearing but they blare over the preview video music and they stop once the hyperspin splash screen goes away. splashscreen example

They go away after like 2 seconds but having to hear the same 2-3 sounds on repeat forever is annoying and the splash screens are almost seizure inducing with how out of nowhere they pop up on screen then quickly go away.

Any help would be greatly apprecaited, Thanks!

Hey dotphil, welcome to the HS community :)

In regards of the second question you have, if I understood correctly what you are talking about are the Interstitial backgrounds (you can find that option in HyperHQ, under the tab Optimizer).

If you uncheck the interstitial backgrounds in the Optimizer tab of the Main Menu section or a specific system wheel, it should not show those HS backgrounds on each selection.

Let me know if that solved it.

Cheers!

Thank you 8).

Unfortunately that option was already unchecked. It seems so weird since I can cycle through my NES games slowly and it'll load through about 3-4 normally, then on the 5th one I'll get a loudish hyperspin sound and a splash screen show for a couple seconds as the screen loads.

I think maybe I should grab a screen capture program and upload a little video of it since I'm not the best at explaining things.

Those are the transitions. I'm not sure if there's a way to disable them but one of the first things I did when setting up HS was delete them. They're in the Media\Frontend\Video\Transitions folder.

Thank You, that did it. Was very annoying having the splash screen come up at seemingly random times.

Now I just need to figure out why half the preview videos aren't playing audio despite the downloaded file having it.
