SamVSsami Posted April 15, 2017 Posted April 15, 2017 Hi All, Just added the Sega Mega-CD as my Japanese games collection. Already have the Sega-Cd up and running for years with RetroArch. But when I added the system (Mega-CD) I keep on getting the 'unsupported system' error. If I play the same games under the Sega CD section of HS everything works fine. It must be something in RetroArch that I should configure so I can let it know to treat Sega Mega-CD as Sega Cd. Any of you guys have any tips? Thanks in advance! Aorin Posted April 15, 2017 Posted April 15, 2017 The module checks the system name you're trying to run, in this case Sega Mega-CD isn't a "supported system", the module expects you to use the Sega CD system. This message is not an error, so to speak, nor is a Retroarch or Hyperspin problem, it's totally and only a module line, that does not exists and its easy to add in any text editor. Well, I don't understand why you're adding a separate system for the same console, anyway, I just modified the Retroarch module, just extract these files under RocketLauncher/Modules and it should work. PS: Make a backup of your modules folder. Retroarch.zip Aorin
SamVSsami Posted April 16, 2017 Author Posted April 16, 2017 Hi Aorin, Thanks for the help. I've used your module, but it gives me an other error. I've put the bios on hundreds of places now, but still the same error....Where do you have yours while using this module? Build your cabinet, conquer the codes, become a King of Chaos!
SamVSsami Posted April 16, 2017 Author Posted April 16, 2017 Hi Thanks, Got it working In the retroarch config there was this line: system_directory = "default" and I changed that to system_directory = ":\system" and all works!!!! Thanks again!!!! But still dont understand why all the other systems using the same emulator do work, but that's something for an other time. Thanks again for all the help!!!! Aorin Posted April 16, 2017 Posted April 16, 2017 Please, mark it as solved, we've figured out it was a setting for the system path in your new module. Aorin
SamVSsami Posted April 16, 2017 Author Posted April 16, 2017 Hi, I wanted to but don't see a 'marked as solved' button anywhere? Am I missing something? Build your cabinet, conquer the codes, become a King of Chaos!

Yeah, it seems you already fixed it, it's just editing your original post and adding "Solved" to the title like you did, thanks. Aorin
