MAME not working after installing new video card

Hi all,  It's the oddest problem.  I had MAME0184b - 32 bit working fine on my old Vista computer.  I wanted to play games on my TV via a S-video output, so I bought and installed an ATI Radeon video card.  After installing, MAME just suddenly doesn't work.  I've submitted 2 images.  One shows how MAME just flashes a black screen for a second.  The other picture gives the error message I get from RocketLauncher when trying to play.  Does anyone have any opinion on what might've happened?  I don't see how the video card is the problem, but really don't think anything else was changed.  Thank you so much to anyone reading this.

Sorry for the slow reply but did you ever get this resolved? If nothing else changed I feel like it's gotta be something to do with the video card drivers. Working outside of HS/RLUI?

It wasn't working outside of HS/RLUI, so I just started using an older version of MAMEUI (not sure which one at the moment) and I got it to work again.  Thanks for the concern.  I actually could have went from a VGA-to-S-video cable without changing video cards.  I now have one and will report back when I get into playing with this again.  This is one of my new hobbies now when I'm not working!

I should have kept better records, but I believe I couldn't get any older MAME's to work.  It was only when I tried a MameUI that I got it.  Like I said, I'll revert back to my old video card, use this other cable and report back.
