Migrating to 16:9 widescreen themes - help please

Hello Hyperspin

 

im about to build my widescreen cabinet and I need some quick advice please. 

 

I have everything working perfectly but I have all my current themes in 4:3 aspect ratio.

I'm running about 120 games all in Mame  

What I wanted to know is is there a quick / easy way to migrate / Download in "one hit" all my themes in 16:9 ratio?  

 

I'm hoping there is an easier way than one at a time.  

 

Sorry if this is a stupid question  I appreciate any help given.

it depends. but short answer no.

hyperspin does not have a convert-to-widescreen theme application. if that were the case we would be farther ahead then we would be now. AVAR has done his thing, and converted some.

@knewlife has an app called HyperBezel, and it doesn't convert your themes to widescreen however, it does give you an option to dynamically switch between themes that have been converted and those whoa re not. by default it will place a bezel over your Hyperspin set up, so that themes will be displayed in 4:3 without stretching them. It's not what you're looking for but maybe it helps.

Thanks. I was kind of hoping there was a tool like emumovies sync that you could point to your roms and say "fetch 16:9 themes" automatically. I have all the widescreen bezels etc, I just want all the 16:9 themes in one hit if doable. 

 

Are there any 16:9 theme packs?

yes in the downloads section. if you're looking for a sync tool you should invest in a platinum membership. but I'm unsure if that still works. and if it still works I could not guarantee if all of the widescreen themes are available through that sync method.. You should consult one of the admins
