Arcade Sticks not working

Hi, apologies beforehand if this isn't worded well, I'm new to this sorry.

Im trying to set up my bartop arcade, but for the life of me I can't get the arcade sticks to work in games.

i can navigate hyperspins menus and select games etc, no problems there, it's when I've launched a game that I can't move characters?

ill use Aladdin as an example on fusion. I can throw apples, jump and swing my sword, but I can't move Aladdin around.

Ive gone into fusion.exe and into the controller config, and tried doing the detection (if that's what it's called) with the sticks, and it responds to me by going through the options (i.e., press up, down, left, right, abc etc) but still nothing in the game?

ive looked at xpadder, and written down the keys it's associated with, J,H,U,N for up down left and right, still no joy.

ive done this as a 6 button, 3 button and joystick controller.

im out of ideas, can anyone help? Thanks

Are you able to get control when playing from within the emulator, excluding Hyperspin and Rocket Launcher for the moment?

What control interface did you buy?

Hi,

ive not tried it within the emulator itself actually, so I will try that. When you say which sticks and buttons? If so, I've got sanwa LeD pack from Gameroomsolutions

thanks for your reply!

Ah right, I'm using xpadder. I bought the machine off eBay, and the guy who sold it said to use xpadder for everything?

You should only really use xpadder to control Hyperspin with a gamepad, most emulators should work fine with gamepads and keyboard encoders.

Ipac is a keyboard encoder (a circuit board that your buttons and sticks are wired to) but there others on the market.

Any idea what yours is?
