lovebus5 Posted May 16, 2017 Posted May 16, 2017 Hi! Can someone please point me right here? If i launch games from the Retroarch app (on Nvidia Shield, Android), it correctly loads my Nvidia Shield Controller autoconfig, and all is fine across all cores/emulators and games. BUT, when I launch the same games from my Hyperspin (which ofc uses retroarch), retroarch launches game with Android Controller config, which ofc is not what I want. In what settings/config file can i force retroarch (launched through Hyperspin) to always use the Shield Controller autoconfig?
thatman84 Posted May 16, 2017 Posted May 16, 2017 Try to make sure your retroarch direct config and hyperspin direct config are pointing at the same autoconfig folder and you have updated your auto configs. This will help If you have already saved overrides from within hyperspin launched RA then you may need to do them again if you change the config folder path. lovebus5 Posted May 28, 2017 Author Posted May 28, 2017 I'm not 100% sure exactly what the issue was, but it seems to me it hasn't something to do with in what order I changed the retro arch directory settings. I started from scratch, changed ALL RA directories to non-root places, and then after that I downloaded all the cores and used online update on everything. After that it worked!
thatman84 Posted May 28, 2017 Posted May 28, 2017 Sweet, lol it took me about 3 months to figure it out. I would come across a new feature I wanted to try and it messed it up! Or I changed something in Hyperspin launched RA and broke it completely so had to uninstall to get back fresh. That's why I done my guide stuff. Im doing another one soon as an unrooted user you may be interested.
