Im really really struggling on how to map keys via retroarch.

I have Hyperspin running on my arcade cabinet and retroarch runs a few systems (spectrum is the one im trying to configure) as I want to use my arcade controls but cannot work out how to map the keys so I can use on my cabinet.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I was able to map inputs to different controllers in retroarch with great success.

  • You can launch retroarch as itself, or you can hit F1 while in a rom (this option seems to have more options)
  • Look for a config or Input option. (use arrow keys, and I believe z,x keys to select and back out)
  • 'Input' should have an option to "Bind all" and it will run through all the options, letting you configure each button.

*It goes pretty fast so you may have to do this a few times.

*If it's system specific I'd launch a rom and choose F1 to enter retroarch config.

*Might help to save the config while still in retroarch before exiting.
