Games wont launch

I can launch my games in RL and through the emulator itself. However, when I try and launch the game in hyperspin itself, nothing happens. I have watched the install, emulator and adding roms tutorials more times than I can count. I am sure I am missing something very simple. Advice?

Could be a few things, you may not have set the path to Rocketlauncher in the Hyperspin settings.ini found in the settings folder.

Could be this is caused by having wheel filters checked in HyperHQ or if Rocketlauncher is still running in the system tray.

No worries. It's in the root of your HyperSpin folder. Same place as your HyperSpin.exe.

Like I mentiones you have not set the path the Rocketlauncher, yours is trying to use Hyperlaunch.

You need to open the settings.ini and change the path.

I changed the text to RocketLauncher and tried Rocketlauncher as well. The games will not load in Hyperspin

In your Hyperspin folder there is a "settings" folder, within that there is the settings.ini file, open that in notepad or notepad++ and look for the Hyperlaunch path which is in the first block of text.

You need to change it to where you have the Rocketlauncher exe installed. Only you know this.

Also, that log you posted is from RocketLauncher. To see what's going on we need you to post your :\HyperSpin\log.txt file and preferably your :\HyperSpin\Settings\Settings.ini file as well, as Gigapig said.

Again, thanks to you two so much. I really do appreciate the help. I cannot imagine how many times you have answered these same questions! Is it possible that I improperly merged the 2 systems? Could I even open Hyperspin if I did do that? I had to step away from my set up for a minute. I will post again shortly.

Iunno man but I kinda get the impression you may have skipped some important stuff from the videos and might have made some other random changes trying to fix it  

If you did put RL and HS together, nothing will work. What I suggest is moving everything you've done to a backup folder then starting from scratch, following the official videos very carefully and pausing as needed as you go. There are a few details in the descriptions as well but the big one, which you already prolly fixed, is making sure your extensions aren't hidden in windows. Just follow along everything exactly as you see it and it will work, and if you ever see anything on your computer that doesn't match what you're seeing in the video at any given stage, it's probably a case of missing a step and if you can't tell what you did feel free to post.

my files do not look like yours on the video. I downloaded all the latest versions. Could that be the problem? Should I install the older versions you have listed in the video?

I deleted everything. I am going to try again. This will be my 3rd attempt

Everything in the video is the latest version or should be identical to the latest version so if things aren't matching up something's not in the right place. Only time anything'll look different is I think one step on NES setup where I have a few folders Nestopia makes after you run it for the first time. Other than that, everything you see should be essentially identical.

Make sure you set all 3 programs (HS, RL, & HHQ [the .exe's]) to run as administrator, solved it for me instantly.  (thanks to AV)
