How to get rid of Deplacate names in mame

Hello fellow hyperspiners . I have  been trying to update my old hyperspin to give a copy to a family i am tring to help with. All is going ok so far but in my mame on the wheel i have alot of games that the name of the game is showing up like 4 or 5 times for the same game but only one has the video and launches . I have updated the database using hypersync  and i am running mame 0.161 set of roms.  Is there a app or someting that can maybe fix this so my wheel looks normal for the list that i have?  I could not find much on this and i am rusty at building again. 

 

Also i am tring to find out how to add mugen games and a couple of stand alones and would like some help getting them to work .

HyperHQ -> Wheel Settings -> MAME -> Navigation/Themes -> Parents only, wheels only, clones use parent themes, clones use parent vids.

Im at work n going off memory so i cant remember the exact tab names, but to get rid of duplicates open up hyperhq then select mame, make sure to enter the rom path and rom exrensions (ie. zip,7z) Then go into the navigation tab and check the box for parent roms only.

yep i have that in here . I am wondering if there are dups roms . I thought this was a clean download i just did.  I got it from eumparidise  It is hard to tell they are not listed as full name but i do see once i am in HS the file name at the bottom and the dups looks the same but has a different letter.

Those are clones and regional variants. If they're not being hidden when you hit parents only check to make sure you're using an official xml.

I think i got it . i just downloaded the database and used that one and they are gone . testing now.
