Tzvi Posted June 9, 2017 Posted June 9, 2017 Hi all, I'm new into theme building and starting creating them just to fill the gaps in my collection. I've read that we should now try to make all themes be at least 4k ready (8k prefered) and was trying to figure out the best way to achieve that. Currently I am creating my art in vector form and then sizing it and outputting png bitmap files. Is there a better format to make my themes images in? I really don't want to have to export 8k bitmap versions when a vector file could easily scale to fit the resolution as needed. Thanks in advance.
Avar Posted June 9, 2017 Posted June 9, 2017 Until we can announce more with regards to themes, the best thing to do is to use the highest resolution and best quality source material possible and keep it backed up somewhere. The thing with vectors is they can only be very simple in regards to colours and shapes. As long as your theme looks good, especially if you SWF smooth it, you're good.
