MWebb677 Posted June 11, 2017 Posted June 11, 2017 Hello all! I recently tried my hand at installing Fix it Felix to my Mame wheel with mixed results. I got the game icon to show on the wheel and the intro video works as well. The game launches flawlessly when I launch it from RocketLauncherUI (I launched it successfully when going through the audit game window), but when I get to Hyperspin and click the wheel icon for the game it will not load. The error window mentions something about closely named files. I feel like I am overlooking something simple, any ideas what could be going on?
gigapig Posted June 11, 2017 Posted June 11, 2017 Does the error message come from HyperSpin or RocketLauncher? If it's launches from RLUI then I guess you have something incorrect when setting HyperHQ.
MWebb677 Posted June 11, 2017 Author Posted June 11, 2017 It comes from Hyperspin, it launches perfect in RLUI. The error says "unknown system "fix", then another error pops up that starts giving me the machines that the name closely matches and goes through about 10 pop ups.
MWebb677 Posted June 11, 2017 Author Posted June 11, 2017 Now that I look at it though, it's actually not a Hyperspin error. The label at the top is Mame.
gigapig Posted June 11, 2017 Posted June 11, 2017 Yes its a mame error but FIFJ is a pc game so something is wrong somewhere.
gigapig Posted June 11, 2017 Posted June 11, 2017 You will need to give more detail on how you added it to the mame wheel or post the Rocket launcher log via pastebin. It sounds like the game is using the mame emulator and module instead of the pclauncher module.
MWebb677 Posted June 11, 2017 Author Posted June 11, 2017 That is exactly what it sounds like it's doing. I followed a guide I found on YouTube, GigaGuide's. That's not you is it? I tried to get to a guide on here, but the link was down. Anyway, the icons appear on the Mame wheel just fine, but how I added the system to the Mame emulator was through the alternate emulators tab in RLUI. I made changes to the PCLauncher.ini in the Rocketlauncher folder and set it up that way. I'm not at my PC right this second but I can get you more info in a little bit...
