The HyperSpin 2 early access beta is here!

We’re starting the first public testing phase with Platinum Members to keep the scope manageable while we test the current feature set and begin to add more. In the future, we’ll provide a version for basic members as well.  On behalf of the entire HyperSpin team, we look forward to another exciting adventure with our community.

"Enter" Joystick Button Unresponsive

I'm having a really annoying issue I just can't figure out.  I have my trackball setup to spin through system wheels and then my buttons wired to my u360 joysticks to advance through the wheels and select games.

I have 3 systems so far, MAME, SNES, AND NES.  Everything works great for MAME and SNES when selecting and backing out of wheels using button 1 and 2, but for some strange reason it is really difficult getting the joystick buttons to advance only when trying to select the NES system.  I have to button mash for a good 10 or 30 seconds until it finally advances to the games.  Sometimes I need to back out with the keyboard and go back in to get it to work.  After it finally does get to the games, selecting a game with the button works right away.

It is also important to note that using "enter" on the keyboard works right away with no problem.

Let me know what you think, thanks!

You're using a trackball in the HS front end? Do you have Trackball and Joysticks enabled in HyperHQ? If so you might try un-enabling them as joysticks and trackballs don't work properly with HS and maybe that's causing your issue.

This could maybe also be caused not by the buttons, trackball or sticks, but maybe you have a mistake in your NES system. Having a letter in the wrong case ( such as the Mario wheel art upper case, but the rom mario lower case) won't work correctly, but sometimes it can work anyway and give sporadic results like yours. The spelling including upper/lower case must match 100% exactly for meida, themes, wheels, roms, database etc...  Not saying that's it, just spitballing.
