Asterra Posted July 12, 2017 Posted July 12, 2017 I really haven't delved into Hyperspin a great deal, but I have grabbed a sort of all-in-one package, tried it out, and fiddled with the theme XMLs a bit. In those XMLs, there are ways to control some aspects of some artworks, but as far as I can tell, the appearance of the game details (in the lower left) and the game video snap both run on a strict timing: The name appears 0.33 seconds after scrolling the wheel. The video appears 0.50 seconds after scrolling the wheel. 100% reliable. I think there are ways of delaying further the appearance of the video but I have not seen anything to indicate that it can be made to appear immediately. I gotta ask: Is there a way? The idea here is to scroll quickly through a list and judge, based on a glance at the gameplay, whether a given game is worth further scrutiny. If I have to arbitrarily wait half a second longer than is strictly necessary, for every single tick of the wheel, that makes for a frustrating experience. So I'm looking to override that.
32assassin Posted July 12, 2017 Posted July 12, 2017 their is, editing a Theme by modifying the XML is not recommended. You should import the theme in question into the Theme Editor, you will need to change the animation type and position of the artwork. if you want the Artwork to appear instantaneously, change the Starting Position of the Artwork from (left, right, up or down) to none. the animation also as a duration and delay, set both to Zero, for an instantaneous effect.
