Hello All.

New to Hyper and loving it.

I have a XML list that is working 100% with my rom directory.

However, my XML list contains, as an example, 592 game entries and my rom directory 2000+.

1. Is there a tool I can export the actual roms based on the XML to a new directory?

Now Im pushing my luck.

The same as above, however now add the themes, vids and images and so on.

This will really help in cleaning up rom directorys and getting rid of unneeded or broken roms.

Regards

Derik Pelser.

HyperSpin Asset XML Audit 0.02

https://emumovies.com/files/file/1174-hyperspin-asset-xml-audit/

this tool will audit a media/rom folder and compare it to your XML, anything not found in the XML will be moved to an unknown sub-folder.

its case sensitive so rom name in your XML is not the same as Rom Name.zip

you can also use Hypertools

witch has a similar feature plus many more,  I made a simple tutorial here

And another.

So I have the XML with 2000 files linked to 2000 roms.

Is there a tool to load the xml with check boxes, then export the selected roms to a new with with a XML db?

I'm not sure I understand your question

an XML with checked boxes?

if you are trying to trim an XML to only include the roms you wan't.

Dons tools has an exe for that.

I also use Don's HyperSpin Tools/Create New Hyperlist, and also have it set to also create CRC for each ROM. Maybe I'm being anal and it doesn't really need it but its there so I set it anyway plus doesn't add that much time to creating the new list, unless creating CD image CRC then it takes forever but there isn't that many CD based systems

Creating a new hyperlist manually also guarantees that you will get ONLY the ROMs you have and not the default XML that has pretty much everything so a lot of duplicates or ROMs you don't have or want and also no missing ROMs as its only scanning YOUR ROM folders. Its a pain if you have a lot of systems and slow doing it manually but you know that EVERY system will be correct ROM wise
