The video for the Main theme is mis-aligned.

I have a weird problem with Main menu themes and the intro vids.

I searched a good while but came up empty.

I had some cinematic system themes, which I reverted back to the default main menu system themes.

Tried deleting the 'old' sys. theme.zip and video and then updating with hypersync but still comes out not lining up (e.g. Nintendo Game Boy)

Also tried different theme files (4:3), (16:9), different videos as well.

Never had this problem before.

Is there some .ini file somewhere that's keeping certain settings?

Any ideas on why this is happening?Untitled-1.jpg.26d9f6c33364d06f65592806d2b699c2.jpg

I am yet to really use Hypersync so not sure on that front on why the theme is coming directly like this? Is it all themes or just this one?

If you want to tinker manually you will find a File Called "Nintendo Game Boy.zip" in Hyperspin -> Media -> Main Menu -> Themes folder.

Within that zip you will find a file called Theme.xml. This is what drives the theme on load.

You should also find artwork files one of which will be used as a "video frame" and perhaps even another that is also used as an overlay in the case below. (Don't think I am using the Same Theme as you FYI)

In the screenshot of my zip I have Video.png which is only a glass window and Artwork1.swf is the actual Gameboy image.

Zip.png.4abbc172f69b29e24b9c436b7ef9c4d9.png

If you open the Theme.xml file in a text editor "Notepad++ Recommeneded" .

You will see in Red below the video and the Artwork1.swf both share the same rotation value.

<Theme>
    <video
w="190"
           h="232"
           x="751"
           y="418.95"
           r="6"
           rx="0"
           ry="0"
           below="false"
           overlaybelow="false"
           overlayoffsetx="0"
           overlayoffsety="0"
           forceaspect="both"
           time="0.2"
           delay="1.6"
           bsize="0"
           bsize2="0"
           bsize3="0"
           bcolor="0"
           bcolor2="0"
           bcolor3="0"
           bshape="false"
           type="fade"
           start="none"
           rest="none"/>
    <artwork1 x="732" y="595" r="6" time="1" delay ="0.5" type="none" start="right" rest="none"/>
    <artwork3 x="512" y="97" r="0" time="1" delay ="0.5" type="ease" start="top" rest="none"/>
    <artwork4 x="305" y="454" r="0" time="1" delay ="0.5" type="none" start="left" rest="none"/>
</Theme>

HINT:
If you use WinRar to open the archive/zip file then double click on the Theme.xml file to open in your default editor (Hopefully Notepad++).
If you leave WinRar open and edit the file, on save it should ask you if you want to update the file in the archive.
Makes quickly editing themes so much faster than using Hypertheme in my opinion.

Thanks for the reply Bungles,

Yeah, I'm having to go in Theme.xml and usually need to adjust r, x & y values and then it works.

It's funny mostly happened to the handheld systems.  The Sega Game Gear seemed to have fixed itself.

Quick question on the Unified platform videos....how do you go about using this as it's an Mp4 video with everything already in it?

thanks again,

If you mean the Cinematic Themes that Retro and perhaps others create I am not sure as I have not used them before.

I would think there is a straight forward method of doing it.

Not sure if they use a "Dummy" theme that just sets the video only, centered and fullscreen?
