AtariSoul Posted August 6, 2017 Posted August 6, 2017 Hello Everyone I've been a Platinum member for a little while and have always managed via this community to work my HyperSpin problems out However, this is my first topic I've started as I cannot work out why my special art isn't appearing. I've been looking all day without success. dark13's scripts look ideal but assume you have Flash Pro. Therefore, I've created my special art as attached using png2swf by swftools to convert my PNG to SWF. I've created it with 1 frame per second, tried 24 frames per second as some of the background.swf's using this framerate. I know my setup is correct because I can swap my SpecialB1 with the default and that appears. Swap back and nothing. Is it the format of the SWF that is causing the problem? I would really appreciate help. Thanks in advance SpecialB1.swf
Bungles Posted August 7, 2017 Posted August 7, 2017 It could be the location of the Art. By Default the art is lowered to the bottom of the screen as they are only individual Images. So if your image is full screen or larger it may just be pushed below it. Check your Special Art Settings in HyperHQ for your wheels and try adjusting the Y value to be less. If its 1024x768 you will need to center the image by setting it to 384 on the Y and 512 on the X. AtariSoul Posted August 7, 2017 Author Posted August 7, 2017 Thanks for your reply Bungles My art is 445 x 72 and I had it set X & Y to 350, but changed it to X 512 & Y 384 as you suggested. No luck. I don't think its co-ordinate as I can swap my art for the default and it appears OK. I think its to do with the SWF's format. Is there a certain format it needs to be? I've created a simple blue square in GIMP and saved it as a PNG. Ran "png2swf" to create a SWF. I click on the SWF and it opens in "swiff player" (Flash viewer) OK, but still doesn't appear. Sorry this is driving me mad, been trying to work this out for hours Thanks in advance
Bungles Posted August 7, 2017 Posted August 7, 2017 It might be that png2swf is not creating them in the correct action script settings? I know everything I have created so far as an swf has been via Flash and using action script 3.0 I believe. AtariSoul Posted August 7, 2017 Author Posted August 7, 2017 Yes I think you could be right Bungles. Is it Adobe Flash Profession CC I need then? I can see there is a free trial available. Maybe I can test it using that
Bungles Posted August 7, 2017 Posted August 7, 2017 I am using an old CS5 version but that should do fine I would gather. AtariSoul Posted August 8, 2017 Author Posted August 8, 2017 Hello Bungles I used dark13's scripts in Adobe Flash Pro and it now works! The only notable difference is the transparent background shows green in Flash player where previously it was black, but Dark13's scripts work great Thank you Bungles and Dark13 Cheers
