Hyperspin loosing focus - possible cure?

Hi all.  Been having hyperspin loose focus for a long time now and just can't seem to stop it.  Sometimes it does it when exiting a game or sometimes if I leave it running on its own. Although ive left it running for 10 hours or more and it doesn't do it. Weird.  Always does it someone else is playing too! When it looses focus clicking the joysticks and buttons does nothing and I have to restart the pc. Every time it's done it I've not had a mouse or keyboard plugged in either so can't test the mouse click, typical  

Ive read somewhere that a left mouse click brings it back in focus?   

Ive got the rlui setting set to "restore and click" but this hasnt helped. 

I use an ipac4 and wondering if I connect the left mouse button to say the "down" input on player one joystick? That way as soon as I try to move the wheel it sends a mouse click to bring back in focus.  

Has anyone tried this or think it will work?  As far as I know the only function the left mouse click is set to on my setup is the "gun reload" setting on the aimtrack guns. 

Any input is very much welcome?

The user turranius has made an app that you can use to make sure that hyperspin is always in focus. I can't remember the name of it but it has helped me with this issue.

I think my memory is a little off. This is from the readme of that app.

 

Just a small program that checks if one or more definable windows titles exists. If they do, it makes sure
they are kept on top.

Ment for HyperSearch originally, so that does not appear behind the HyperSpin window by mistake, but any
windows title can be entered.

Just run it once and an INI file will be created. Open it for instructions.

 

So this is probably not the solution you are looking for. Sorry.
