NEO207 Posted September 5, 2017 Posted September 5, 2017 Hello. I use the the Playstation Layout (Special Art), therefore I have mapped ENTER to "X" and ESCAPE to "O". Everything is fine in Hyperspin, Retroarch, Mame, etc. but when I want to play Virtua Tennis 2009 (PC Game), the game thinks I pressed Enter or Escape instead of the buttons signed in-game to "X" and "O". When I start Virtua Tennis 2009 outside of Hyperspin, everythink works fine, so it has to be Joy2Key... Can anyone help how I can fix this problem, so I can start VT2009 via Hyperspin? regards
RLBradders26 Posted September 5, 2017 Posted September 5, 2017 Open Rocket Launcher --> Go to Your PC Games System --> Keymapper. Press the + and click Game Profile. Select Virtua Tennis 2009, it will now open Joy2Key just press file save and close Joy2Key. This is creating a blank profile to unmap the buttons, rather than do this for each game you can also do it per system which is what I have in my setup. To do that just Press System Profile instead of Game Profile. If you exit the game and it doesnt revert back to your standard Joy2Key Profile then you need to change your Default Frontend Profile Name Which is in Global --> Third Party. Hope that helps
NEO207 Posted September 5, 2017 Author Posted September 5, 2017 thanks. I will try this out but i figured something out that seems strange... the joy2key profiles created in rocketlaucherUI are saved in RocketLauncher\Profiles\JoyToKey. The Joy2Key.Exe is located in RocketLauncher\Profiles\JoyToKey_en. The Profile being used in Hyperspin AND in any game is Profile 1.cfg next to the EXE. So I think no matter what I add / change in RocketLauncherUI, it has no effect to the actual Joy2Key and its used Profile (Profile 1.cfg - which does not show up anywhere in RL-UI)... Can you help me please, so that Joy2Key used the Profiles that are created via RocketLauncherUI? Thanks !
RLBradders26 Posted September 5, 2017 Posted September 5, 2017 So this is how i understand it.... Joy2Key boots with hyperspin and will load Profile 1 as you rightly said. When you launch a PC Games for example it will switch to the PC Games System Profile which will be found in RocketLauncher\Profiles\JoyToKey. (Unless you havent set one up then it will stay as profile 1) When you exit a PC Game and go back to the hyperspin menu it will search for a profile of which you need to set inside Rocket Launcher Global --> Third Party. The name of this profile needs to represent a profile in RocketLauncher\Profiles\JoyToKey. Ive attached screenshots of how mine is setup. When hyperspin boots it loads Profile 1 which is used to navigate hyperspin, it will then switch to the pc games system profile when i boot a game, this profile is empty so it doesnt interfere with any controls, when i exit it _Default profile which is just a copy of Profile 1.
NEO207 Posted September 5, 2017 Author Posted September 5, 2017 You are fantastic! Thanks for the screenshots and the explanations! Did it know exactly like you and everything works! :-)
