Hey

I have seen this issue a few times.  I was going threw my mame games all was well.. tried a few.. then returned to mame wheel.. all the wheels disappeared and the video was stuck on a game over and over.. could not spin or exit...

When it goes back to the mame wheel what ever game it is on it loops and video plays over and over..

On the wheel side you see the pointer but no wheels, you can not move and no buttons do anything.
