Difference between Xbox1 & 360 Controller

I wanted to know if there is some difference or setting for the two controllers. I have a fully functioning system when I use a 360 controller. I'm able to control HS and navigate to a specific emulator and then have full use inside launched emulator. The problem is when I try to use a Xbox1 controller with the with the new usb adapter , HS acts like there is no controller and I'm unable to navigate in HS, but I can launch a emulator with my keyboard and then the controller works 100% in the emulator. I'm using the Statrup script with both controller setups. Why does the Xbox1 controller not work in HS ?

Neither controller will work very well with Hyperspin,  it  only works because you are using the startup script. Unfortunately I don't know the solution for getting the xbone controllers working with the startup script. 

You could of course try joytokey. 

Have you read some of the startup script thread?
