BroodOvermind Posted November 22, 2017 Posted November 22, 2017 I used to have Playstation working perfectly with retroarch, but I must have tweaked some setting somewhere and now I get a C++ runtime error when I try to launch through rocketlauncher. Retroarch can open the game files just fine outside of rocketlauncher too. The strange part is, I made another system on my hypserpin list for Sony Playstation Japan for japan only games. These both have the exact settings for everything. The PSJ system works totally fine, but the regular one gives this ahk error and then retroarch crashes. Is there a settings file or config somewhere that has been corrupted? Where should I look? playstationweird.html
BroodOvermind Posted December 13, 2017 Author Posted December 13, 2017 is there anything I can add to this to help explain my problem? RetroArch.ini RetroArch.ahk
SupraKarma Posted December 13, 2017 Posted December 13, 2017 If you made a new 'Playstation Japan' wheel and everything is working properly, the next step I would take personally is to delete the entire wheel from RLUI and then re-create it. It is most likely a setting in the module or something, but the fact that all is working in your newly created 'Japan' wheel implies that this solution should work. If I were you I'd temporarily rename your HyperSpin media folder associated with Playstation as well (should be HyperSpin\Media\Sony Playstion, just rename it to HyperSpin\Media\1Sony Playstation). If I recall correctly RLUI does not allow you to delete only your settings, but also deletes all media associated with a wheel as well. And, it asks a question about deleting your media and has a 'check box' to do so (even after asking you the question), making it very easy (giving you two opportunities) to lose all of your media. I brought this up on the RLUI forums a while back, but I don't think Brolly ever fixed it. I know about it now and it'll never happen to me again, but I thought I'd mention it. Edit: Alternatively, try renaming your 'Sony Playstation' wheel to 'Sony PSOne' and see if everything works. If it does, then you know the problem has something to do with RLUI settings also.
