Trouble with starting games

I know this is really basic but I'm brand new to this and it's a frustrating simple problem.

I have set up HyperSpin and Rocket Launcher, and have so far got Mame set up to work. I can start the games through RlauncherUI to test connection, but I can't get any of them to start in HyperSpin. I'm using a keyboard right now til I know I have it functional and have the keys I want set in HQ. If someone could give me some advice or guidance on this I would appreciate it

More info is needed. HS + RL is far from basic... lol.

Do you have HS set as "active" and "default" front end profile in RL?

Are games showing on wheel?

The fact they run from RL is good, HQ is really only used to specify what shows up on the wheel.

Yeah it is set as active and default in RL, I can navigate around HS with out to much difficulty and everything seems to load fine. But when I get to the game I want launch and hit enter ( or what I have set to start) nothing happens

Not sure... did you follow a tutorial here on this site or somewhere else?

Do you filter the wheel?

I set the rompath and extension in HQ and then choose "rom only" in the navigation tab.
