Does HyperSpin alter registry?

The title says it all. When I install HyperSpin, does it put entries in the registry? If not, can I just copy the HyperSpin folder and contents to another drive?

There are no alterations to the registry. You can easily migrate to a new drive (provided all the drive letters and directory paths match).
