The HyperSpin 2 early access beta is here!

We’re starting the first public testing phase with Platinum Members to keep the scope manageable while we test the current feature set and begin to add more. In the future, we’ll provide a version for basic members as well.  On behalf of the entire HyperSpin team, we look forward to another exciting adventure with our community.

When I want to select a game, HyperSpin gives an error as in screenshot. What do I do wrong?

I have verion 5.9 and nowhere to find a JoyToKey.ini file and everything folder is not read-only (when I'm checking again it's back to read-only) can I make that read-only for ever?

Jtk is in fact in that location? You have run it from there at least once to create the ini? Did you happen to follow my tutorial on setting joytokey up?

Yes, I have JTK a folder by his own:

D:\HyperSpin
D:\JoyToKey_en

Could you give me the link to your tutorial? Maybe it helps!

A friend also told me to use emulator settings instead of JTK, what would you recommend?

Yeah, always configure controls in the emulators whenever possible.

I use jtk for navigation in HS and also to map the exit command to the gamepad.

I am on my phone ATM but the tutorial should be here on site.

sorry to hijack this thread, I need some help with my joytokey/settings too.

Recently my MAME has been giving me some issues with the buttons.

I have set my way to exit hyperspin/mame to pressing "1 & 5" together. However mame by default exits via "esc". Somehow when I launch a mame game via hyperspin, the mame settings are reverting back to its default. I know this because when I launch the MAME emulator by itself, the default "esc" is used to exit. I have previously set my "mame.ini / settings.ini and ui.ini" to read only and so it shows an error when I try to change it. However, for some reason, hyperspin is still able to change it.

Please help! I spent a lot of time working on this without much progress. Btw im using MAME 0176 if thats important

1 and 5 are the worst keys to use for emulator exit. They are the default keys for player 1 coin and start in MAME.

Use a key and a modifier key. For example I use CTRL+E to exit.

Start there - then create your own thread if you need more help.
