seryu
Hello, (sorry for my english ) I´ve a bartop running Hyperspin with this components: Mini-ITX Zotac GeForce 9300 Core2Duo E8400 + SILVERSTONE NT07-775 90mm LOW PROFILE 4 GB Skill Ripjaws 1333Mhz ATI 5570 Low Profile I´m thinking to improve it. What are your recomendations? CPU+motherboard or CPU+motherboard+GPU? I´ve read in this forums that i5-4670k is the best option but I´m not sure which GPU... And in any case, what benefits compared to what I have now (looking for systems like Saturn, Dreamcast, Wii and PS2)? Are this emulators really prepare to use more than 2 cores? Because if not, I will save my money and overclock my C2D Thanks for your help!!!
dark13
No, most emulators runs only on 2 cores but a i5 core is 2x faster than a c2d/c2q core. The best option for dolphin/pcsx2/demul is an overclocked 4670k (4770k is a waste as emulators won't use hyperthreading). To overclock an i5 you need also a GOOD heatsink. For the gpu... dolphin and pcsx2 need a decent gpu and demul seems to like A LOT a good videocard. If it does fit your budget a gtx760 is a good bang for bucks and enough even for 1080p windows gaming.
seryu
Ok. Thank you. Then I will buy the 4670k and a Noctua NH-U12S Regarding the GPU, windows game and 1080P are not contempled in this cabinet. Only emulators. Should I go for the GTX760 anyway or is there any cheaper option?
