hi guys,

I have a problem with the epsxe emulator. When I start the emulator, the display automatically turns on if desired.
if I choose hyperspin the emulator and then the game remains off analog and I can not activate it with f5. 
epsxe shows it to the analogue on but this does not.
an example of gran turismo 2 started on hyperspin can not be steered neither Dpad or joypad.

The state of PS1 is a mess right now. You can do a search and find many threads about analog. Here is a rough description of the problem:

A large portion of the games do not have analog support. A few of those games are coded in such a way that they accept analog inputs as digital so while it seems like they are analog since you are using the stick, they actually arent. Now each emulator handles controls in their own way. I have tried epsxe, retroarch and psxfin... they all behave differently with my 360 controllers when analog is selected.

As far as I remember, the epsxe module was written (and tested) for version 1.91 so i would recommend sticking to that version.

For the record, I am not a big PS1 fan so I use psxfin. I just got the few games i like in a usable state and am happy with that. I find epsxe and retroarch way slower at loading the games.

what I do not understand in a game works tax deduction I can for example in gran turismo before the race adjust the settings with Dpad (before back right left) but as soon as the race starts the Dpad does not work anymore. and this problem is playing at all Games. I do not use the stick (ps3 controller).

if i use epsxe but without hyperspin so folder / epsxe.exe is loading, it works great.

Ok it has been suggested in other threads that the RL module is at fault...  try this:

Bypass RocketLauncher altogether filling in these 4 spots in HQ.

Does it work this way?

Hmmm ok, like i said, I dont use epsxe... or like to bypass RL since it will break pause and fade. Just wanted to test it..., try disabling "use full path to roms" in HQ. You should be able to get HS to call the emu, not sure maybe epsxe wants a param in there????

If it works through HS this way we would know its an RL module problem.

If you get the same behaviour as before it may be HS at fault!

unfortunately, the same problem. you can recommend the one ps1 emulator that suits hyperspin. ?

I found the error. they are the controller plugins. it is only one compatible with HS. Harakiri Pad Plugin
