Cannot Load Game From Hyperspin

Hi there,

I just started putting together my first MAME setup about two weeks ago. I've followed videos and forums on setting everything up. I currently have MAME .161 as the only emulator, Rocket Launcher 1.4 upgraded from 1.3 as the engine, and Hyperspin as the front end.

 

I am waiting on shipping of an external hard drive before downloading a full rom set(not enough space on internal, so just to get things set up I downloaded 3 individual games. All games boot 100% from rocket launcher. The games also show up properly on Hyperspin when I configure to show only available games. But when I go to start them in hyperspin I get this error code:

 

Cannot find C:\Users\Blake's Arcade\Desktop\RocketLauncher\RocketLauncherUI\Dat abases\MAME\MAME.xml

 

Am I supposed to have my full MAME folder in this database, or my MAME roms, or something else? Ive tried both with different combinations of folder names with no success. Any help would be great.

That is a RocketLaucher error and it means you have not set Hyperspin as the active and default frontend. 

It should show you how to set those in our tutorials.

ok thanks.  i have the same post up on the RL forum.  thats funny though because hyperspin is set as the active and default front end.

5 minutes into the video below under base settings, he has default plugin set as rocketlauncherUI which may be wrong and should be set to Hyperspin if the option is there.

ok ill have to play around with the settings after work and see if thats the case.

thanks a lot for your help.  agent 47 over on rocket launcher forums suggested the same, to change the default plugin and default front end path to hyperspin and it works perfect now!!!
