lmsilva
Hello, I've noticed HyperSpin, very frequently, doesn't start on my computer. I usually go to the task manager and, when this happens, there are ALWAYS two hyperspin processes running: If I kill the first one, the other one sticks around. If I kill the second one, they both seem to go away. Basically, it seems one is a child process of the other (as killing one seems to kill both). Any idea on why this happens? Agrajag
It's a bug, and here's a workaround for it: http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/forum/showthread.php?28153-HyperSpin-exe-process-hang-on-exit&p=267975&viewfull=1#post267975

By the way, does the batch get called even if hyperspin is closed with alt+f4. Sometimes my hyperspin crashes (e.g. The exit buttons stop working OR the wheel gets stuck spinning like crazy by itself) so i have to kill it with alt+f4. Agrajag
I don't think it will work in that case. The alternative approach is to launch HyperSpin using a batchfile, that does the taskkill first. As for the wheel spinning by itself, have you got joystick / spinner / trackball controls enabled in HyperHQ? If so, that's another bug!
lmsilva
Yes, I knew about that bug but I already deactivated my mouse trackball and it still happens every now and then.
lmsilva
So I created a startup bat. Thanks for the tip ) I haven't seen the behavior ever since (though I just made the change a few hours ago heheh). Do you have any other tips regarding the "stuck wheel"? I do have a trackball but I had already seen references to a bug so I had already deactivated it. I haven't been able to find a pattern for when this happens. What I do know is that this has happened while I was scrolling through the wheel. I don't think it will work in that case. Agrajag
You're welcome. No idea what else to suggest for the stuck wheel though I'm afraid. Anyone else want to chime in?
