Hyperspin doesn't start, leaves stuck process

Hello,

I've noticed HyperSpin, very frequently, doesn't start on my computer.

I usually go to the task manager and, when this happens, there are ALWAYS two hyperspin processes running:

If I kill the first one, the other one sticks around. If I kill the second one, they both seem to go away.

Basically, it seems one is a child process of the other (as killing one seems to kill both).

Any idea on why this happens?

Cool, thanks!

By the way, does the batch get called even if hyperspin is closed with alt+f4.

Sometimes my hyperspin crashes (e.g. The exit buttons stop working OR the wheel gets stuck spinning like crazy by itself) so i have to kill it with alt+f4.

I don't think it will work in that case. The alternative approach is to launch HyperSpin using a batchfile, that does the taskkill first.

As for the wheel spinning by itself, have you got joystick / spinner / trackball controls enabled in HyperHQ? If so, that's another bug!

So I created a startup bat. Thanks for the tip :o)

I haven't seen the behavior ever since (though I just made the change a few hours ago heheh).

Do you have any other tips regarding the "stuck wheel"? I do have a trackball but I had already seen references to a bug so I had already deactivated it.

I haven't been able to find a pattern for when this happens. What I do know is that this has happened while I was scrolling through the wheel.
