Dons Hyperspin Rom Renamer failing to scan mame 197

I am attempting to bring the 60GB Mame 0.197 rom collection to the hyper[pin roms directory using Dons Hyperspin Rom Re-namer tool but every time i try it fails a second after starting the scan. I have successfully scanned other ROM collections without issues.

Any help would be much appreciated,

You should not be using Ron's renamer on a mame xml/romset. Mame game names should not be changed. 

Check out the Mame xml in the forum activity feed, there should be a close set of xmls there for 197 but Phulshof did stop releasing xmls iirc
